BloomWatch
“Can I source my next startup role?”
The question
Job boards are built for jobs that already exist at companies everyone already knows about. The more interesting question is earlier than that: how would I find a company, 5 to 200 employees, that just raised money? A team that size, freshly funded, is usually about to hire, hasn't built out a recruiting pipeline yet, and hasn't shown up on LinkedIn's radar. That's the gap BloomWatch fills.
What it does
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, BloomWatch pulls newly funded companies from a handful of free sources, checks each one for a live careers page, enriches the company profile (industry, size estimate, HQ, investors, tech stack), and scores the company and any open roles against a stored resume. Instead of trawling funding news by hand, I get a short list of companies actually worth applying to.
Ingestor → enricher
Under the hood it's a small pipeline, not a single job. An ingestor pulls fresh funding announcements from free sources and checks each company for a live careers page. From there an enricher fills in the profile (industry, size estimate, HQ, investors, tech stack) using an LLM against whatever public information it can find. A fit-scorer then cross-references company and job data against a stored resume, and a weekly digester packages the results and ships them out, both by email and archived in-app. Sign in is Google only, and the public landing page shows real recent raises before you create an account.
Inside the enricher
The enricher fetches a company's about, team, and company pages and stops as soon as it has both a CEO and an HR contact. It pulls names by title match, keeps the first 5,000 characters of about text, and builds a LinkedIn people-search link. It never scrapes LinkedIn itself. The result is written back to the company row with a timestamp.
